<p>PURPOSE:To prevent paper sheets of different sizes from being mixed completely by inhibiting stacking when detected paper size is different from preset paper size, and, in a stacking-inhibited condition, detecting the presence of stacked paper and permitting stacking when no stacked paper is detected. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a discharged paper detecting sensor 1 which detects paper discharged from its body, a paper presence detecting sensor 2 which detects the presence of paper stacked onto a receiving table, and a receiving paper position detecting sensor 3 which detects whether the receiving table is in a position where paper discharge is possible. A CPU 4 stores the size of paper stacked on the top of the receiving table as current paper size information in its non-volatile memory 11, and stores the size of paper which has been on the receiving table immediately before paper is taken from the receiving table as past paper size information. When paper whose size is stored as current paper size information is of size other than the size for which stacking is permitted, stacking is inhibited. During a stacking-inhibited condition, stacking is permitted provided that there is no stacked paper.</p> |
