The method is provided to dispatch a request (62, 66) for coupling an electronic device (4, 6) and a remote control (2) with an input interface (10, 12) to input a control instruction (14) for controlling the electronic device (4, 6) on a radio channel (28). The remote control (2) is adapted to control the electronic device (4, 6) via the radio channel (28) or an infrared channel (26). The method comprises: receiving the control instruction (14) from the input interface (10, 12), and transmitting the control instruction (14) together with the request (62, 66) for coupling via the infrared channel (26). |
