ENCODING AND DECODING METHOD FOR SPEECH SIGNAL

PURPOSE:To provide the encoding and decoding method for speech signals wherein a decoding procedure is transmitted prior to code transmission after setting only the basic process of the procedure of a decoder without fixing the procedure. CONSTITUTION:This speech signal encoding and decoding method which encodes and decodes a speech signal including a musical sound previously sets the basic process used for decoding; and an encoder sends a series representing a decoding and a signal generating procedure by a combination of basic process stages only once in the beginning and then encodes and sends the input speech signal in comply with the decoding and signal generating procedures, and a decoder decodes the sent decoding and signal generating procedures, and decodes the sent encoded speech signal by using the decoded procedures to generate a speech signal.
