Supermarket shopping trolley

The shopping trolley has a wheeled chassis supporting a shopping basket (1) with a rear handle and an additional locking valuables compartment (2), provided within, in front or behind the rear side of the shopping basket. This compartment may have collapsible sidewalls, or be completely removable from the basket and has a hinged top cover (3), secured by a lock (4), operated by a key, a key card, or by a combination lock. Pref. the compartment is formed at least in part of a wire mesh, with the rear wall of the basket acting as one of the compartment sides and/or the compartment has non-transparent walls, for concealing the contained valuables.
