Spinning assembly control

The control system for a prodn. line, and esp. a spinning line with a number of workstations, has an electronic control (15) and a number of sub-groups (7,13) each with a number of sensors (3) and/or active units (1). The sub-groups (7,13) take the signals from the sensors (3) and/or active units (1) to give a two-way data transmission link with the control (15), to report the operating conditions and deliver command signals. Also claimed is a spinning assembly with yarn monitors (3) and sensors for the working of active units (1). Pref. at least two links of sub-groups are interconnected at the opposite end to the control (15), or each is linked separately to the control (15). In the event of a break between two sub-groups (7,13) in a link, the control (15) management is as two independent links of new lines which are up to the break. In the event of a sub-group (7,13) failure, the control (15) takes a similar action. The sub-groups (7,13) of a link work only with monitors (3) or only with the active units (1). After each start-up and/or at set intervals, the control (15) effects a start sub-program for an address at each sub-group (7,13) in a link.
