<p>PURPOSE: To efficiently cool an induction type charging transformer for charging a car battery. CONSTITUTION: This transformer includes an induction type charging receiver and cooling means 52 and 54, coupled with secondary windings 30 and 32 and having a flow path adjacent to the secondary windings for cooling the secondary windings. The induction type charging receiver has a primary induction type charging coupler 16 having a primary winding 28 and connected to a fixed power source, and also has magnetic cores 18, 20 and 22 for completing a magnetic circuit formed with the primary and second windings 28, 30 and 32. The secondary windings 30 and 32 are installed in an electric vehicle for charging the battery for the vehicle. The cooling means 52 and 54 are constituted in the form of a heat pipe.</p> |
