TRANSFORMER WITH AMORPHOUS IRON CORE

PURPOSE:To reduce the noise of a transformer using an iron core composed of an amorphous magnetic alloy. CONSTITUTION:Windings 2 are wound around the leg sections 1c and 1d of an iron core 1 composed of a thin belt of an amorphous magnetic alloy and provided with a joint section (j) in the middle of its magnetic path. An enclosure 5 composed of a prepreg material is put in the gap between an iron core tightening fitting 3 and the iron core 1 and the vibration of the fitting 3 is suppressed by sticking the fitting 3 to the core 1 by using a resin impregnating the prepreg material.
