<p>PURPOSE:To detect the state where paper sheet does not exist and the state where the rest quantity of paper sheets is less, and carry out representation, by arranging a detecting device for a paper feeding cassette in a paper feeding part of a small-sized electrophotograph type copying machine, etc., and carrying out the input to a controller. CONSTITUTION:A half moon-shaped roller 2 is arranged at the paper feeding position of a paper feeding cassette 10, and a snapper hook 20 for a paper assorting device is engaged with the angular part at the top end on the paper feeding side of a paper sheet. For the paper sheet P accommodated in the paper feeding cassette 10, a detecting decide 25 is arranged on the upstream side of the half moon-shaped roller, and the detecting device 25 is equipped with a means for integrally swinging a pressing arm 27 which makes contact with the upper surface of the paper sheet and a sensor arm 28 corresponding to a sensor 30 through a supporting shaft 26. When the paper sheet is fed by the half moon-shaped roller, the signal supplied from the sensor in the state where the paper sheet is pushed down by the arcuate surface of the half moon-shaped roller and the signal of the sensor in the rising of the paper sheet in stop are combined, and the detection for the state where the rest quantity of the paper sheet is less is enabled.</p> |
