<p>An apparatus and method for chemically physically stabilizing contaminated soil (14) is disclosed. The soil (14) is homogenized in a homogenizer (12); dropped into a mixer (58) below the homogenizer (12) and mixed with an additive; then dropped to a processing terminus (72) located below the mixer (58). The apparatus and method are useful for processing highly clumped and/or acidic soil (14), e.g., soil (14) contaminated with mining waste.</p> |
