<p>PURPOSE:To provide a rear view mirror device for a vehicle wherein sufficient brightness and a luminous area can be obtained even in the case that an emitting means can be arranged only just behind a light straightening plate from the viewpoint of space. CONSTITUTION:A mirror housing 1, mirror 2 forming at least partly a half mirror part 2a, mirror holder 11 holding the mirror 2 further to be turnable independently of the mirror housing 1 and an emitting means 7 stored in the mirror housing 1 to apply light to irradiate the outside through a part of the half mirror 2a, are set up in a back of the half mirror part. Accordingly, in a rear view mirror device for a vehicle, a light straightening plate 8 for limiting a direction of light, irradiating the outside, in a prescribed direction and a reflecting plate 10 for reflecting light of the emitting means 7 in a direction of the light straightening plate 8 are provided, further to hold the emitting means 7 and the reflecting plate 10 by the mirror holder 11.</p> |
