The pole base loading device of a tape recorder comprises a motor for generating power; a pair of loading gears connected to the motor to be rotatable; and engagement arms each having a guide long hole at its body and connected to the loading gear, the pole base being combined to the guide long hole to be able to be slided, whereby the pole base is simultaneously slided to the guide rail and the engagement arm according to the rotation of the loading gear.
