<p>PURPOSE:To recover a by-produced clinker usable as a raw material for iron making together with zinc oxide by mixedly using a bauxite melting residue having a specified compsn. jointly with steel making dust and executing heating reduction treatment by a dust treating furnace. CONSTITUTION:Steel making dust is subjected to heating reduction treatment by a dust treating furnace, and zinc is recovered as coarse zinc oxide and iron components as a clinker. In the method for treating steel dust, 100 pts.wt. steel making dust as the raw material is added with 20 to 300 pts.wt. bauxite melting residue, and treatment is executed. This bauxite melting residue has a compsn. of, by a dry standard, >=70wt.%. Fe2O3, <=12%, preferably about <=10% Al2O3, <=3%, preferably about <=1%, more preferably about <=0.5% Na2O and <=10%, preferably <=8%, more preferably about <=5% ignition loss.</p> |
