<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the shift of centroids in the time direction in a still image and a dynamic image and to reduce the unnaturalness of the movement of an object. CONSTITUTION:A control signal separation circuit 6 separates a motion vector signal, an inter-frame sub-sample signal and an inter-field sub-sample signal by a MUSE signal. An inter-frame insertion circuit 4 obtains a signal which is inserted between frames and which is motion vector-corrected. A low-pass filter 9 and an inter-field insertion circuit 10 obtain a signal for the still image from picture data for four fields. A sub-sample circuit 12, an intra-field insertion circuit 13 and a low-pass filter 14 obtain a signal for the dynamic image. A mixer 16 mixes the still image signal and the dynamic image signal based on a movement detection signal from a movement detection circuit 15 and outputs it. The insertion processing of the intra-field insertion circuit 10 is executed based on the inverted inter-field sub-sample signal, and the output of the mixer 16 is inversely vector-corrected with a signal obtained by inverting the motion vector signal.</p> |
