<p>PURPOSE: To provide an optical fiber connector with which a pair of optical fibers can be sufficiently photocoupled without improving accuracy for the dimension of housing. CONSTITUTION: An end face 22 of a 1st optical fiber 12 housed in a hole 38 of a 1st housing 16 is positioned while being protruded from the hole 38. An end face 24 of a 2nd optical fiber 14 is housed in a hole 40 of a 2nd housing 18. When fitting the 1st and 2nd housings 16 and 18, the end face 22 of the 1st optical fiber 12 is moved into the hole 40 of the 2nd housing 18 and abutted or extremely proximated with the end face 24 of the 2nd optical fiber 14. Top end faces 42 and 44 of the 1st and 2nd housings 16 and 18 are not abutted each other.</p> |
