<p>PURPOSE:To improve the security by changing for each time a password numerical value collated by remote control in the remote controller used for a keyless entry system or the like for an automobile or a house. CONSTITUTION:When an operation switch 5 of a key unit 2 is manually operated by the user, a CPU 10 sends a start signal read from a ROM 11 or the like to a control unit 3 of an automobile by a transmitter 6 in terms of a radio wave. When the control unit 3 detects the reception, a random number generator 21 generates a random number and a CPU 18 converts it into a signal, a transmitter 16 sends the converted signal in a radio wave to the key unit 2, the arithmetic processing is conducted by the random number to calculate the password numerical value. On the other hand, when the key unit 2 detects the reception from the control unit 3, the same arithmetic processing is conducted at the control unit 3 with the received random number numeral signal to calculate the password numerical value and the calculated password numerical value is sent from the transmitter 6 to the control unit 3 in a radio wave. The control unit 3 compares the received password numerical value with the calculated password numerical value and implements unlock processing when they are equal.</p> |
