PURPOSE:To provide an input/output device on which adequate input operation can be performed according to how the device is held when used. CONSTITUTION:An input button group 1 consists of plural input buttons which are arranged so that a combination of positions to be pressed corresponding to the respective fingers is different corresponding to how the device is held in a hand, and outputs an input signal corresponding to pressed input buttons. An input signal conversion part 2 holds plural kinds of coordinate table of the input signal and input codes, and converts the input signal reported from the input button group 1 into input codes according to a coordinate table. An input decision part 3 requests the input signal conversion part 2 to switch the coordinate table when the input code reported from the input signal conversion part 2 is a specific input code generated by the changing of the way of hand holding. And, the coordinates between the operation of the respective fingers and input codes is made to not change with the way of holding the device when the device is held in the hand. |
