PURPOSE:To form a pattern of a black matrix layer without requiring an expensive precision optical mask and to prevent production of projections on the overlapped part with a pixel layer. CONSTITUTION:The one surface of a transparent substrate 1 has each color layer 2 of B, G and R colors formed by patterning and a space with proper width between color layers 2. A black matrix pattern 6 comprising a light- shielding film layer 5 is formed and patterned on this space by a plating or vapor deposition method and a lift-off method. |
