HANDWRITTEN STROKE EDITING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide the handwritten stroke editing device with which editing is enabled for the unit of a character without necessity for a user to be conscious of the group of characters. CONSTITUTION:For a character group stored in a group managing means 3, it is decided by an editing object selecting means 6 corresponding to a selection range accepted by the user whether the entire character group is selected or only one part of it is selected for one of those character groups. Concerning each character group for which one part of the character group is selected, a stroke belonging to the selection range is newly reconstructed as one character by reconstruction means 6 and 7. The editing for a character group for which the entire group is selected, on the editing for the unit of the character group reconstructed by the reconstruction means 6 and 7 is performed by a group unit editing means.
