The covering (3) of the folding top is fastened along its two long sides (10), to the rigid top section (6) and to the main top bow. The covering engages without fastening on an intermediate B-column of the folding top frame. For closing, the covering is drawn into a holder on the B-column by a tension cable and a material control. The holder contains a seal body, and the outer side edge of the covering engages on the seal. The holder on the B-column is formed by a part of the column, and a closing plate fixed to it.
