PURPOSE:To keep well the lifetime of a belt of a transmission device, which transmits the rotation of a crank shaft to the rotary shaft of an engine auxiliary unit such as an alternator, and facilitate pulley mounting on the rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION:A one-way clutch 10 and rolling bearings 30a, 30b are installed between a pulley 1 mounted on the rotary shaft of an engine auxiliary unit and an internal member 2 to be mounted on the rotary shaft. The rotation of a crank shaft whose angular velocity makes infinitesimal variation is transmitted to the pulley 1 through a belt, and the rotation of the pulley 1 is transmitted to the rotary shaft through the clutch 10 and internal member 2. When the angular velocity of the crank shaft decreases and the rotational angular velocity of the rotary shaft of the auxiliary unit becomes higher than the rotational angular velocity of the pulley 1, the clutch 10 is disengaged and its rotary shaft as put in free rotation so that slippage between the pulley 1 and belt is precluded, and thereby drop of the belt lifetime is suppressed. |
