<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the generation of vibration due to the rotation of a rotary head and the contact between the rotary head and a magnetic tape by providing a cover for closing down the space between two fixed drums in an opened area where the magnetic tape of a rotary drum is not wound. CONSTITUTION:In the rotary head drum device, the space 12a between the upper drum 11 and lower drum 12 is closed down by the cover 19 in an opened area where the magnetic tape of the middle drum 13 is not wound. The inside surface of the cover 19 is formed so that the space against the tip of a video head 13c projecting from the outer peripheral surface of the middle drum 13 is made narrow as much as possible. Thereby, the inside noise generated due to the rotation of the middle drum 13 is interrupted against the outside by this cover 19. Consequently, the noise generated by the rotation of the middle drum 13 is reduced even in the case where the middle drum 13 is rotated at a high speed.</p> |
