The machine tool holder (31) is mounted on the spindle tube (13) to rotate around its longitudinal axis (35). The gripping arms (21, 22) have a common delivery position for the tool magazine. A rotational drive pivots the holder around the longitudinal axis selected between two end positions. A rotational mechanism is provided which, working in dependence of the lifting motion (33), also pivots the holder selectively between the two end positions.
