LASER PRINTER WITH DEVICE FOR REDUCING BANDING

PURPOSE: To provide a system reducing banding in a laser printer. CONSTITUTION: A magnetic detection head 20 is arranged to one end of a laser write platen 16 and an optical sensor 18 is arranged to the other end thereof. The magnetic detection head detects the synchronizing signal of the magnetic synchronizing track 22 which is recorded on the inner periphery of a photoconductor belt to detect the position of a belt. The optical sensor detects the position of a raster scanning line 40. Laser beam is deflected by controlling a galvanometer 28 and the position of the raster scanning line is moved so as to compensate the positional error of the belt.
