PURPOSE:To obtain a preventive/therapeutic agent for respiratory diseases such as pneumonitis, interstitial pneumonia, pulmonary fibrosis and Pneumocystis carini pneumonia, having organism protecting effect and excellent safety, comprising a nonapeptide having a specific amino acid sequence as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:This preventive/therapeutic agent for respiratory diseases contains a nonapeptide having an amino acid sequence of the formula, an ester or an amide at the carboxyl group of asparagine of carbon end of the nonapeptide, a pharmaceutically permissible salt of each of the compounds or a bonded substance of each of the compounds and a metal as an active ingredient. A dose of the active ingredient is preferably 0.1mug-500mg/day per kg weight of an animal. |
