<p>PURPOSE:To provide radar equipment which is less in transmission blanking loss and can be improved in searching distance by changing the pulse cycle period at every transmitting pulse having a narrow width or pulse group composed of an arbitrary number of pulses in a short period instead of transmitting pulses having a large width in a certain cycle period and, at the same time, transmitting a pulse train not modulated or modulated in phase or frequency at every transmitting pulse and correlating a received pulse train with the transmitted pulse train. CONSTITUTION:An antenna 1 is controlled by means of a radar controller 11 and beam controller 2 and transmitting waves generated from an exciter 3 are modulated by means of a radar timing generator 6 and pulse compressor/ modulator 4 and radiated from the antenna 1. Received signals are sent to a receiver 7 through a circulator 5 and converted into digital video signals. A pulse train compressor 8 performs a correlating process on the received signals and a target detector 9 detects the distance to a target and displays the distance on a display 10.</p> |
