<p>PURPOSE:To prevent local data which are high in use frequency from being expelled from a cache when the cache overflows owing to remote data registered in the cache. CONSTITUTION:The cache uses a local remote separate cache 30, which is equipped with a cache having a local data area 40, a remote data area 70, and an address array 350, a cache memory controller 340, a decision means consisting of a mask 30, a comparator 320, and a node number register 330 that decides which of local data and remote data an access request corresponds to on the basis of an access request address from a processor, and an address mixer 370 which generates an address for accessing the cache on the basis of the decision result of the means and the access request address and outputs it to the controller; and the local data area is accessed for access to its node and the remote data area is accessed for access to other nodes.</p> |
