<p>PURPOSE:To prevent intrusion of rainwater etc., from the end part of a resin layer and enhance the anticorrosiveness and waterproofness by introducing such a structure that a new end of resin layer generated by tearing part of the resin layer for the purpose of connection with any other component part is covered watertightly with a seal material or that component part to be connected. CONSTITUTION:A steel pipe 1 to be used as a piping component etc., for fuel of a car is provided over the surface with a copper plating layer, and thereover a zinc plating layer with chromate lining and a fluoric resin layer are laid in lamination. As a protective covering layer, a resin layer 5 consisting of a thermoplastic resin is formed by an extruding process on the peripheral surface of the under-layer 4. When piping is to be connected, part of the resin layer 5 is torn off in a position near the termination 1a of the steel pipe 1 so that no obstacle is formed for any other component part, and the end part 5a of layer 5 generated by the tearing is watertightly covered with a seal material or the other component part by subjecting a tubular covering material 8 having an adhesive layer on the internal wall surface to a thermal contraction.</p> |
