PURPOSE:To provide a needle type display device which is so improved as to easily correct a display deviation. CONSTITUTION:The needle type display device for driving a display needle by a stepping motor comprises needle position recording means 1 for integrating the number of drive pulses sent to the motor and recording a position indicated by the needle at present, an encoder 2 for outputting a designating range indicated by the needle, a needle position deciding means 3 for deciding whether the recorded position indicated at present falls within a designated range to be output from the encoder 2 or not, and a needle position temporarily setting means 4 for recording the central position of the range as the temporary needle position indicated at present in the means 1 when it is decided to be out of the range. |
