MOVING SPEED ESTIMATING DEVICE FOR MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To perform sampling of a reception level with the time slot of a time division multiplexed signal addressed to its own station concerning the moving speed estimating device for mobile communication system to estimate the moving speed of a mobile object based on the time division multiplexed received signal. CONSTITUTION:A timing generating means 3 generates first and second sampling timing at each of prescribed timing inside a received slot allocated to its own station based on received slot timing detected by a received slot timing detecting means 2. A storage means 4 samples and stores the reception level detected by a reception level detecting means 1 at the first sampling timing. Next, a difference calculating means 5 samples the reception level detected by the reception level detecting means 1 at the second sampling timing and calculates the difference between this sampled reception level and the reception level stored in the storage means 4. Based on this difference, a speed converting means 6 calculates the relative moving speed of the present station and an opposite side station.
