PURPOSE:To eliminate the irregular luminance and the flickering of irradiating light. CONSTITUTION:A light source 2, a reflection member 4 surrounding the light source 2 and having an aperture part 4a on a display panel 3 side, a light diffusion member 5 arranged between the light source 2 and the panel 3 and set for diffusing the light of the light source 2, a light selection member 6 arranged between the light source 2 and the diffusion member 5 and set for selectively transmitting and interrupting the light of the light source 2 and a heat radiation member 8 arranged on an opposite side to the aperture part 4a of the reflection member 4 and also used as a ground part connected to the selection member 6 by wiring 7 are included in a planar light source device 1. Then, plural belt- like members 10 arranged so that they are not superposed on one another on the front surface and the back surface of a light transmitting substrate 9 and constituted of a light shielding material having light reflectivity are included in the selection member 6. Besides, the width of the belt-like member 10 is set so as to be narrower as it is distant from the light source 2 and the arranging interval between them is set so as to be wider as it is distant from the light source 2. |
