The connecting piece between a reinforced concrete slab or beam and a metal section set at an angle to the slab or beam consists of a metal plate (1) having on one of its face, a beginning of the section (2) such that the section (D) can be welded to the end of this beginning piece at right angles to its face. The plate has a series of threaded holes (3) and the unit itself contains a series of corresponding bars for setting in the concrete (4). Each bar is threaded at one end (4a) to be screwed into the holes from the direction of the plates opposite face (1b) and held in place by lock nuts (5) engaging with this face. The other end of the bar (4b) is designed to be introduced into the formwork used for the pouring of the slab or beam in concrete so that it is encased in the concrete.
