The trowel (1) is constituted from a plane steel thin plate (2) on the rear end of which is joined, perpendicularly, a heightening shaft (3). The shaft forms an elbow (4) with the plate and has a reverse elbow (6) in its upper part which is extended by a handle (7). In the rear of the shaft reverse elbow is a protection part (8) interposed between the user's forefinger, during gripping of the trowel, and the reverse elbow, to constitute an ergonomic support grip. The protection part is constituted by an integral extension (13) of the handle which are both obtained by moulding a plastics. The handle and the protection part are moulded directly onto the shaft or force fitted onto it.
