<p>PURPOSE: To improve treatment capacity using a simple device and to use the device for a long period of time in a stable condition by using microorganisms which are entrappingly immobilized with gel, containing water, comprised polyvinyl alcohol polymer having syndiotacticity of more than a specific proportion. CONSTITUTION: Raw water is fed to the upper part of a batch type treatment tank 1 from a raw water flow feed tank 2 by means of a feed pump 3. Air is fed to the lower part of the tank 1 from an air pump 4 through a diffuser 5. Further, treated waste water is discharged from the upper side of the tank 1 through a solenoid valve 6. In this case, for treating the waste water, microorganisms which are entrappingly immobilized with gel containing water comprising a polyvinyl alcohol polymer having syndiotacticity equal to or more than 55% are used. The microorganisms are aerobic ones. As a result, treatment capacity can be improved using a simple device and the device can be stably used for a long period of time.</p> |
