<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a warp knit, weft inserted lap side loop pile knitted fabric which can be employed as the female member of a securing means. CONSTITUTION: A weft inserted warp knit fabric is used as a female fabric with a fastener by a hook and loop and the back side of the fabric has a plurality of spaced wales of stitches and a loop portion of each of the stitches is outwardly projected therefrom and connected only at its base and adjacent loops 12 in each wale form a free loop 12 tilted sidewise alternately in appropriate directions. The fabric has a weft yarn inserted into the sides of the fabric between the face and back sides of the knitted fabric and extending across the full width of the fabric.</p> |
