PURPOSE: To display the three pieces of flow information for the flowing direction, speed and scattering of blood in a living body quantitatively. CONSTITUTION: An ellipse D regulated by a first axis directing toward the flowing direction and of length in accordance with speed and a second axis of length in accordance with the scattering is calculated, and an arrow representing the flowing direction is attached on the ellipse D. The ellipse D on which the arrow is attached is displayed by adhering at the position of each sampling point C on an image of mode B. By employing such constitution, the three pieces of flow information for the flowing direction, speed and scattering of the blood can be visualized quantitatively. |
