摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To make a drive with the rate of fuel consumption desired by a driver using a drive mode selecting means which can select among a plurality of control functions including a wide-area lockup control, the fuel rate shift control, fuel cut control, etc., with which the reduction of the rate of fuel consumption can be achieved. CONSTITUTION: A power train control method with associate device as its embodiment includes a sensor for control 1 to sense the current running condition, the operating amount by the driver, etc., a driver's intention grasping means 2, drive mode selecting means 3, control function selecting means 4, and a means 6 to calculate the control amount of a control actuator 5 using the signals given by them. The drive mode selecting means 3 executes the control in accordance with the driving mode for the given output of the intention grasping means 2. For each driving mode, the selecting means 4 selects at least two modes, and the control amount calculating means 6 computes the control amount according to the selected control function, and the result is fed to the actuator 5. In case the air quantity control is to be made additionally, an electronically controlled throttle is used. Therewith a smooth deceleration is accomplished.</p>
