<p>PURPOSE: To readily mass-produce a biodegradable plastic completely degradable in soil without applying a load on the natural environment at a low production cost. CONSTITUTION: This method for producing a biodegradable plastic of a prescribed shape is to knead a bean-curd refuse with starch and sodium alginate at a relatively low temperature of <= about 80 deg.C while heating both, add the resultant kneaded material to a metallic salt, mold the mixture, further allow the formed molding to naturally stand at normal temperature, then dry the molding and remove the excessive moisture. Thereby, the bean-curd refuse is held in nearly a uniformly distributed state in a high-molecular polymeric layer resinified by the chain polymerization method using ions as a chain carrier.</p> |
