PURPOSE:To enhance characteristics against aging by incorporating a perylene type pigment in a metastable phase having an average particle diameter of 0.05-0.1mum. CONSTITUTION:The organic photosensitive body to be used contains the perylene type pigment represented by formula I having an average particle diameter of 0.05-0.1mum and a crystal state in a metastable phase, that is, an intermediate state between an alpha-perylene type pigment and a beta-perylene pigment, thus enabling the obtained electrophotographic organic photosensitive body not to lower its acceptance potential and not raise the residual potential by repeated use, and to enhance characteristics against aging. |
