PURPOSE:To produce a dual-purpose densitometer composed of a wavelength variable general-purpose machine using a continuous light source and a spectroscope and a special-purpose machine using a laser light source, by arranging switchably a spherical mirror for selecting the continuous light source and a flat mirror for selecting the laser source in the light source section, and a diffraction grating and a flat mirror likewise in the spectroscope section. CONSTITUTION:When a continuous light source 4 is used, light of the light source 4 is focused with a spherical mirror 10 on the inlet slit 16 of a spectroscope 14 and when a laser 6 is used, the laser light is made incident with a half mirror 12 on the inlet slit 16. And, in the use of the light source 4, a diffraction grating 18 is set to make up a spectroscope while in the use of the laser 6, a flat mirror 20 is set to make the total energy available. With a condenser mirror 24 of the spectroscope 14, the image of the position of the inlet slit 16 is formed at the outlet slit 26. The slit 26 is variable in width and so, in the use of the laser light, the slit width is expanded sufficiently broader than that of the luminous flux to enable the use of total energy of the laser light. |
