PURPOSE: To provide the trace diagnostic device which can distinctly specify an input value corresponding to an abnormal output value even when a constitution part of a system to be diagnosed has a delay function. CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with a storage means for an observation value 6, a function model 7, and a structure model 8. The storage means for the function model 7 and structure model 8 is connected to an inference control means 24 through a function tracing means 11 and a structure tracing means 12. A verifying means 10, a trace record converting means 17, a hypothesis recording means 19, a hypothesis verifying means 20, a decomposing means 21, a search means 22, and a trace result calculating means 23 are connected to the inference control means 24. A storage means for trace records 16, search candidates 20, and hypotheses 18 is connected to the trace record converting means 17, hypothesis recording means 19, hypothesis verifying means 20, decomposing means 21, and search means 22. |
