<p>PURPOSE: To provide a shape control method by which a shape steel such as H-beam with a web and flanges is controlled in a target shape. CONSTITUTION: The web camberδ0 and the flange verticality R0 of a finish rolled H-beam 10 are measured by a shape measuring instrument 34, and simultaneously, a temp. difference T between the upper and lower surface of the web is determined from the measurements of the thermometer 32a, 32b for the surfaces. On the basis of the measurementsδ0 , R0 and the temp. difference T, after the H-beam is air-cooled, the temp. difference T0 between the upper and lower surface of the web is computed by a control part such that the web camberδand the flange verticality R are made target values.</p> |
