<p>PURPOSE: To provide a FRP-made hollow golf club shaft in whose torsional rigidity in a tip portion on the chip side is high, flexibility is good and kick point is positioned in a suitable range at that. CONSTITUTION: (i) Inside diameter of a shaft at a tip on the chip side is at least 7mm, and outside diameter is at least 8m. (ii) From a tip of a shaft on the chip side to point H, outside diameter of a shaft is essentially the same Point H is positioned in a range of 20mm-170mm from the tip. (iii) From a tip of a shaft on the chip side to point G1, inside diameter of a shaft is essentially the same. Point G1 is positioned in a range of 20%-50% of the shaft whole length, from the tip. (iv) A minimum point of torsional rigidity C, or a minimum region F is positioned in a range of 10%-40% of the shaft whole length, from the tip. A kick point Q is positioned in a range of 40%-47%. (v) Outside diameter between point H1 to a minimum point C or a minimum region F gradually decreases toward the minimum point C or the minimum region F.</p> |
