GASEOUS CARBON DIOXIDE GENERATING AGNET USED IN GAS PHASE

PURPOSE: To produce a gaseous carbon dioxide generation agent capable of continuously and surely generating gaseous carbon dioxide at least during several days in a gas phase having wide relative humidity range. CONSTITUTION: (1) At least one kind of carboxylic acid which is solid at normal temp. (m.p. is >=40 deg.C) and whose dissociation constant is larger than carbonic acid and solubility at 30 deg.C is <=90g/100g water and (2) at least one kind of carbonate and/or hydrogencarbonate of alkali metal whose solubility at 30 deg.C is >=1g/100g water and <=50g/100g water are incorporated, and (3) a compound ratio of the solid carboxylic acid to carbonate and/or hydrogencarbonate is (1:5) to (5:1) by equivalence ratio, (4) >=60wt.% these solid carboxylic acid, carbonate or/and hydrogencarbonate are incorporated in a total gas generating agent and (5) a composition generating gaseous carbon dioxide in gas phase is used as the gas generating agent.
