The welding device makes it possible to perform highly sensitive welding at a lower voltage. Specially it reduces the welding preparation time by sensing a welding instant through a pulsed electromotive force generated when a welding rod(30) gets in contact with a workpiece(40), and lowers the voltage of a secondary part of a welding transformer to a safety voltage. The device comprises a switching part(10) switching the electric power supplied to the first source of the welder; a sensor(50) sensing the pulsed electric voltage; a controller(70) controlling the electric power supplied for the welder according to the sensed voltage; photo diodes(PD1,PD2) switching on or off based on the control signals; photo triacs(PHT1,PHT2).
