PURPOSE: To provide a small-sized inexpensive linear light-emission device which projects output light on a photosensitive drum. CONSTITUTION: Drive circuits consisting of a drive circuit part 20 and a bit selection switch 30 and thin film light-emission elements 40 which are driven by the drive circuit are formed on a substrate in a line, and a transparent thin plate 15 is glued on the upper surface of the thin film emission element 40.
