Process for conditioning textile materials to enable them to exhibit, in particular, a pleasant feel and a very low, or even an absence of, yellowing, characterised in that the textile materials are placed in contact with a composition including a polyorganosiloxane which has, per mole, at least one unit of general formula: in which: - R may denote a C1-C4 alkyl radical, - X may denote a hydrolysable radical, - Z denotes a residue containing sterically hindered piperidinyl group(s) of formulae: in which: R<1> is a divalent hydrocarbon radical, R'<1> is a trivalent hydrocarbon radical, U and U' denote -O-, -NH- or N(alkyl), R<2> may denote a C1-C3 alkyl radical and R<3> is H or R<2>, - a and b are chosen from 0, 1 and 2, - the sum a + b being not greater than 2.
