Optical pulse generator e.g. for high energy laser application

The generator includes a resonator path with a prism network (8) which is used to reduce coupling divergence. A non-linear crystal (3) and an output mirror (4) rotate together following a dispersion law. Two mirrors input a pump signal (1) to the linear crystal.The output mirror together with the network (7), forms the output coupled beam wave (9). A non-oscillating wave is extracted by a mirror (2) to form a beam (5). The prism train and the network are not in contact with the oscillating wave, reducing losses.
