<p>PURPOSE: To offer an optimum ball hitting characteristic to realize a maximum flight distance by setting the optimum center of gravity position of a club head and the optimum shaft center position in order to prevent a decrease in golf ball initial velocity and an increase in back spin. CONSTITUTION: In a golf club head other than a putter club, it is assumed that a distance between a face 2 of a club head 1 and the shaft center of a shaft 3 is A, a distance between the face 2 and the center of gravity of the club head 1 is B, and a distance between the face 2 and a back end 4 the club head is C, and A/C% is set more than 35% and B/C%-A/C% is set within 10% to -60%. This enables to offer an optimum ball hitting characteristic for various head speeds, resulting in a maximum flight distance. Additionally, this allows the golf club head to be easily swung.</p> |
