PURPOSE: To provide a liquid crystal display device having low dependency on visual angles. CONSTITUTION: This liquid crystal display device is constituted to include a liquid crystal cell 1 having a prescribed liquid crystal layer 10, a light introducing means 2 which introduces light to the liquid crystal layer 10 of the liquid crystal cell 1, a first light diffusing means 3A made of a high polymer film which selectively diffuses the light of the prescribed direction emitted from the liquid crystal cell 10 and a second light diffusing means 3B made of the high polymer film which selectively diffuses the light of the prescribed direction of the light diffused by the first light diffusing means 3A. The first light diffusing means 3A is constituted to selectively diffuse the light of the vertical direction of the light emitted from the liquid crystal cell 1 and the second light diffusing means 3B to selectively diffuse the light in the lateral direction of the light diffused by the first light diffusing means 3B, by which the luminance and contrast are made uniform and the dependency on the visual angles is lessened. |
