<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a toner attaining stable triboelectric charge between particles of the toner, between the toner and a carrier or between the toner and an electrostatic charge imparting member such as a developing sleeve or blade in the case of one-component development, ensuring a sharp uniform distribution of the quantity of electric charges by triboelectric charge and giving an image like an initial image even at the time of continuous use. CONSTITUTION: This toner contains a compd. represented by the formula as an electric charge controlling agent (a) and a copolymer of a styrene/acrylic monomer with a sulfonic acid-contg. acrylamide monomer as an electric charge controlling agent (b) in combination so that the controlling agent (a) exists in the surface of this toner by 7×10<-3> -20×10<-3> g/g. In the formula, each of X1 and X2 is H, alkyl, etc., each of (m), (m'), (n) and (n') is an integer of 1-3, each of R1 and R3 is H, alkyl, etc., each of R2 and R4 is H or nitro and A is an H ion, an Na ion, etc.</p> |
